1. Low cost: The cost of xenon metal halide lamp almost equals to that of high-pressure sodium lamp, and is only 20% of that of LED.

2. High luminous efficiency: Rated luminous efficiency of xenon metal halide lamp is more than 115LM/W, while rated luminous efficiency of LED is generally less than 90LM/W. Though the rated luminous efficacy of high-pressure sodium lamp almost equals to that of xenon metal halide lamp, the former’s effective luminous efficacy is less than half of that of the latter.

3. Good lighting effect: Since xenon light is the natural light closest to sunlight and contains seven natural color spectrums with good light penetrability, and the light of LED and high-pressure sodium lamp has only one color spectrum, the xenon metal halide lamp can have different color temperature products, and high-pressure sodium lamp can radiate yellow light in spite of sound light penetrability; LED light has bad penetrability even if a convex mirror is installed, and other color temperature products with very low luminous efficiency can be used as 6000K cool white light only.

4. High color rendering index: The objects under light of higher color rendering index shall look more distinct, and the color rendering index of over 80 of xenon metal halide lamp is 3 times higher than that of high-pressure sodium lamp.

5. Anti-lightning strike: Both xenon metal halide lamp and high-pressure sodium lamp can prevent lightning strike, LED is incapable in this aspect and may be damaged in thunderstorm weather.

6. Low replacement cost: Both xenon metal halide lamp and high-pressure sodium lamp have low replacement cost, while LED has high replacement cost since its light beads must be replaced frequently.
